Engine is stock except for later coil, vintage Edmunds 2x2 bbl intake with a pair of 94's, and a one-wire alternator that was installed when the 12 volt conversion was done.
There are no door panels or side upholstery panels, but it has a nice seat that's perfectly usable. It has a REALLY NICE original, 2-tone '40 DeLuxe dash that's 100% complete and still has push-button start; there no modern "improvements". The image below shows that the chassis has been taken completely apart, cleaned, and all important components rebuilt (notice bolts and nuts are relatively fresh). There is no 70-year-old grime under this car. Also, note the upgrade to tube shocks, replaced tie rod ends, etc. Brake lines and fuel lines are new, and all chassis components were coated with gray epoxy primer before re-assembly. The undercarriage is clean.
This car has a nice original body and still has its original floor pans and trunk floor. Photo below shows bottoms of doors are solid and were never rusted. The sheet metal is nice everywhere you look.
Below left photo shows the only area on the floor that was touched; a very thin strip of metal was tacked on the area to the right; no other floor areas were repaired. One small flat section between the trunk floor and the rear pan was replaced. The body was put back on the frame without painting the bottom side of the floors for some reason. At any rate, the light surface rust shows they are original. Photo at bottom right shows rear tube shocks and general clean condition of the stock V8 rear.
